First Participants Screened for the WOMAN-3 Trial

We are pleased to announce an exciting milestone for the WOMAN-3 trial, with the first participants now being screened at University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, Nigeria.

UCH Ibadan is the first site to commence screening, marking the official start of participant recruitment for the trial. The site is led by Professor Oladapo Olayemi, Principal Investigator, together with the dedicated research team who have worked hard to prepare for the launch of the study.

Screening is the first step in the recruitment process, during which potential participants are assessed against the study eligibility criteria and provided with detailed information about the trial before deciding whether to take part.

This achievement represents months of planning and collaboration between the local study team and the coordinating centre. It is an important milestone as the WOMAN-3 trial moves from preparation into active recruitment.

We would like to congratulate Professor Olayemi and the entire team at UCH Ibadan on reaching this milestone and thank them for their commitment and enthusiasm. We look forward to seeing additional sites begin screening in the coming weeks and to working together to successfully deliver the WOMAN3 trial.
